excuse the absence-with so few people blogging, the urge to continue doth weaken:).

so have officially enrolled at kings, alhamdulillah. very pretty place indeed overlooking the thames and the london eye and all that. and the (gigantic) maughan library is enough to fulfill even my cambridge architectural dreams. on friday we have freshers fair and tonight isoc dinner inshAllah-should be fun. lets hope the lectures themselves are good ofcourse! btw, all ye others joining the uni ranks (bse/dude/etc) do let me know how it goeth. o and jug, how goes the knitsoc?

anyway, yesterday we had library tours and then i decided i should go to oxford street for shoes as the state of my feet in these borrowed sandals is a tale in itself. bussed it down (a cranky old lady had a go at me for eating on the bus.) i didnt find any shoes so ended up going to book shopping where, as i paid at the till, some dude went prancing past the shop singing 'LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE GOD!!' at the top of his lungs. ah the diversity of this (insane) capital.

ended up hanging around til rush hour and there were proper CROWDS outside the underground of people waiting to get in (what IS this city? manchester rush hour is NOTHING.) so had to fish out a bus to get home. was so exhausted i could feel myself turning into a deadbeat londoner who doesnt notice whether the old lady next to me would like a seat-outrageous. and ofcourse by the time i got home i could barely move, not to mention was caked with dirt. i kid thee not i had to wash my feet with SOAP and the water turned black. sandals are definately out.

so is this what i must endure for the next 3 years? education costs you in more ways than one.
