patriotism on a smaller scale
aa chuckstis indeed a dilemma. we (me pink and jugs) are contemplating the pros & cons of a unanimous move to london. actualy, more like pink is defo going, im almost defo going and jugs is wanting to follow suit. so methought in honour of our new state of confusion, id come up with another one of my lists. perhaps our recognition of the coolness that is manchester may exonerate us of the sin of moving:).
reasons why manchester is cool
- biggest Next in the world (dont shop there, but tis a cool fact nontheless:D)
- beautiful architecture (central library is a treat)
- biggest uni in europe
- biggest cinema screen in uk/europe/world (omit where necessary)
- home to the Cool people (you guys know who you are)
- wholesome combination of city life and suburban peace
- people within 10/15 minutes (visiting ppl in london is like visiting people abroad)
- home to The Clan
- cheaper (if this list was in any order, that would probs be first-tho respect to the clan)
- people smile at you in the streets! (as oppposed to the deadbeat expressions of londoners-no one else exists for them)
- tis The Homeland
- the Trafford Centre (its pretty)
- minimul traffic (get into city centre inside of 25 mins!)
- houses and gardens bigger
- generally prettier-more trees and space
- all the 'london' shops are here too, so no point in oxford st (selfridges, urban outfitters, etc)
feel free to add to the list my fellow mancunians!
in other news, went with raimi and jug to al adab al mufrad. twas Good, and met up with some luvley juvley people-made me happy:). btw, abu eesa is Cool mA!
on the way back we picked up on tales from the blunder (or blonder) years, aka our misguided reading lists. in particular-sweet valley. OMG i can't believe we read such complete and utter bimbo bakwas! confessions of the blunder years it was indeed, lol. admitting the stories we read (and the tears we shed!) and the fact that if elisabeth and jessica didnt have boyfriends there would have been No story to tell. o and after all that pink was informiing us of how psycho her mind can be. methinks the most disturbing fact was that i identified with her entirely. well perhaps not to such a psycho scale. my conclusion was that we tend to think a great deal Too Much. lol.
oki shall fly now:D.
ws luv & duas

EEEEKKK!! Sweet Valley??
I don't think I went through that phase... *breathes a sigh of relief*
... oh- actually- maybe I did *blushes*.
I think it's a "girl-loses-brain-matter" phase. Maybe we all have to go through it.
Dunno what to say about Manchester... seems quieter than Sydney.
ok feeling mucho depressed seeing as i'm LEAVING for stupid uni for the next 5 years.
boooo.
oi mayya. u totally wanted to get away despite all our arguments against it, so u dont u even Try to pretend for one second that u wanted to stay!!! hmph.
yup point to be noted bse. tho shall sorely miss thee me dear. shuda applied to london:D! then we cuda had a bacherolette pad complete with me thee n pink (n jugs if she actually does do soas). then again, with me bro there, i dnt see meself being allowed to stay anywhere else. n pink, u hv to take roof near us-ie east london. so u can have access to ur meals at ours;) n we can still have regular (daily) sleepovers:D.
btw flynn-yup, not beating behind the bush-twas an epidemic suffered by ALL. i think sweet valley is one of those deseases that attack a certain age group, n rarely fail to infect. thank God we're over it!
