apologies for the absence-bally busy week. to update:

• imam zia course-alh big success-erm-mostly. we had one not very happy person (can't please everyone) who didnt appreciate that he couldn't concentrate when her kid made noise. note to self-arrange for some kinda kiddy diversion/creche in the future iA.
• muslimaat tarbiyyah north-another success alh, though the elders had a good shot at messing things a bit, but alh. i'll be glad to tell them wat a success it was. had about 25 ish people from manchester london sunderland and oldham, so twas a great get together too alh.
• got the worst report ever-vv bad. MUST WORK.

moving on, i had something i wanted to blog about...but i forgot, so tis all good.

hollywood actors and actresses: i have come up with a way of defining their outer appearance- 'pretty in an unsavoury artificial american way.' i think the reason i came up with that one was i saw an ad for some movie coming out (again) and it had josh hartnet (did i spell that right?). and i felt a sudden need to assess his outer appearance. and then i extended it to the rest of hollywood. o n bollywood: exactly the same, cept replace'american' with 'indian' and insert 'very very' in front of artificial. rather horrible really. i will figure out the point of this observation one of these days...

jammy dodgers: respect them.

galaxy chocolate: pure adoration in order

pizza bread: i can't belieeeeeeeeeve bb didnt know of their existence. deprivation...*shakes head*

clearly i need to reassess my priorities here. or maybe im just hungry. actually both.

o i think i remember what i wanted to blog about: hitchiker's guide to the galaxy. am currently reading book 2 'the restaurant at the end of the universe' or something to that effect (library didnt have book 1) . yes am loving it. and am currently particularly in love with marvin the paranoid android (aka the chornically depressed robot) bless his metal socks. to make u all appreciate his saddening genius. marvin in conversation with a receptionist:

M- excuse me
R-yes sir, can i help you?
M-i doubt it
R-well in that case if you'll just excuse me...
M-no one can help me
R-yes sir well...
M-not that anyone's tried ofcourse
R-is that so?
M-hardly worth anyone's while to help a menial robot is it?
R-i'm sorry sir if...
M-i mean wheres the percentage in being kind or helpful to a robot if it doesn't have any gratitude circuits?
R-and you don't have any?
M-i never had occasion to find out.
R-listen you miserable heap of maladjusted metal...
M-aren't you going to ask me what i want?
R-is it worth it?
M- is anything?
R-what-do-you-want?
