well this is the bally limit. really. went to bc's joint for lunch today and on the way abbu couldn't help but make fun of the present visage of yours truly, announcing that he will go to makkah and do 'khas kore dua tomar spotty face'er jonno' (read: 'make proper duas for your spotty face'). HMPH. and then at bc's nazma chachi was like 'tomar bron utteche keno?! shadharonto tumi porishkar thako!' (read: why are you growing spots?! you're usually clear!') Then came home and bb's goes 'what happened to your face?!'

yes am feeling decidedly ugly. and just when id managed to convince meself it aint that bad. uff. reckon i should take up niqab? have reached that stage when i wish i could take the top layer of me face off. concealer's gona have a ball day.

moving on-and this requires special mention-people (in manchester) have you discovered the GENIUS that is the didsbury mosque entrance floor??!! one suffers the illusion of being in heaven! went to the exhibition yesterday (yes vv good mA-am duly impressed) and gingerly placed my de-shoed foot on the floor to discover-o wonder of wonders!-floor heating!! and this mind you on proper ceramic tile which you would expect to be freezing enough to send bolts of lighting up you leg. my sincere prayers for the philanthropic, generous and absolutely genius souls who installed it and those who invented it. in the words of nas-i hope they wear cotton socks, ameen (though given the circumstances, they wouldn't need to :D).

btw, i took refuge at bana's during my days of lonliness:). called the girly to winge over my state and two mins after we'd hung up she called back to announce that her mum is going to pick me up and i'm to stay at her place until the family returns whether i bally well like it or not. i love them! so yes was happy and warm and-er-unlonely and well fed and generally at peace with the world. may Allah bless and reward them:).

am going to london tomorrow iA. am decidedly despairing of the current (and future) status of my revision. am going to stop spreading my depression to all and sundry.
