News!
aa wr wbfirstly- we had muslimaat elections for the new nazema (sister in charge) on saturday! and (darn it) my new regime of geekiness prevented me from attending:P. anyway, i probs mentioned this earlier but muslimaat has now joined with ife english sisters so we're all one big bonny body of muslimaat. to be honest i didn't actually know the ife english sisters in london, despite which i had a strong hunch about who the new nazema would be (and was proven correct). and the new nazema iiiiis (drumroll):
MAHERA RUBY!!!
in other words: ruby apa, bambi's sister:D. alh am vvv happy. the poor thing was distraught to say the least ('how could they do this to meeeee????!!!') but mA its a sign of a leader: someone who doesn't want the part! but really, i do feel bad for her-she's married with 3 kids and is doing a phd among a million other commitments. mA the women in that house are dynamos (if thats the word i want), but still, please do make dua for her that she can manage and that we can do her justice iA. siigh...am slightly elated:D.
just for info, it was a 2 part election, first random voting, and then the top three voted for were put forward as nominees and revoted for (did i word that right?). in this case they were ruby apa, munni apa (ruby apa's sister-told you they're all dynamos) and nacima our previous secretary (yep pink and people that nacima). apparently there was a good turn out too with all the new muslim sisters from the islam awareness project. funfun.
in other news: people, MB Has Been To Asda (cue: loud enthusiastic applause). mA takbir! you see due to the fact that we have been so busy/lazy (delete as appropriate) of late, we have been living off what meagre supplies the local newsagent and (micro) cash and carry offer. result: starvation. on the junk front at least. but now mb has been shopping we are happily supplied with all things dainty and delicious. although the cheese and onions rolls have been reduced from 6 to 0 in one day (i ate the last one). one wonders how long the delectables shall last.
moving on, i just sat a bio mock which had a molecular structure similar to that of granite or marble. i didn't make pulp of this one, it made pulp of me. and our teacher quite happily announced that it was 'probably the hardest paper' he'd ever seen. nice. and this was supposed to be the paper which reassured my teachers that i haven't completely lost interest in doing well in bio. i couldn't even remember what glycogen was.
back to the drawing board then:P.
ws love & duas
