i just remembered what i've been wanting to blog about. if i hadn't todays blog would have consisted of the following:

'i used to know what i wanted to blog about....

darn.'

maybe another time then. today i shall regale you all on my expeditions of la weekend past. (mod-man am really getting rubbish at blogging of late) anyway, i went to my matey bana's place, she having decided to reappear in the mancunian land as she so often does (only to disappear just as suddenly). actually we weren't supposed to go her place, but i insisted, in my utterly shamless way, on being given lunch. well lunch became dinner, pjs, a bed to sleep in, breakfast and another lunch - in that order:). not that i predicted it as such ofcourse but twas nice i must admit;). actually i didn't want to stay cuz i needed a shower, but she gave me a towel and shoved me into her mum's bathroom, so that was pretty much that. anyways, went to adab al mufrad together (snowfight before getting in the car-fun). really people those of you in manchester should really attend that circle. it is Great mashAllah.

moving on: people WHY didn't i know that mrsC and bikey were in town?! actually i just answered my own question...no i DO read your blog honest! just not recently:). but really you should have called when you got back, almost scared the life out of me today (bikey appeared on la doorstep and gave me a considerable turn)! but bless her twas luvley to see the ol' potato after many a month-welcome back. and she came bearing gifts too, the deary. the scarf pin collection has once more been replenished people, got a luvley book on calligraphy from mrsC and i got a new hijab in exactly the shade i was after - established bimbo i am. no wonder pink went down to their house the other day...was wondering why she was going to an empty house. actually i was wondering why she was still calling it 'mrsC's', but ye that too.

next question: why am i perpetually broke of late? must stop shopping for the unnecessary-yes those shoes go back. i think i shall have to refer to abbuji for a top up...really want to buy some books. was supposed to go wilmslow rd today to have a look for them, but the dazey mind wandereth once more and i ended up home instead. drat.

o another issue worthy of drat-i discovered today that i am supposed to have a 503pg book read in time for tomorrow. no i'm not a speed reader. niether am i one who concentrates well enough in lessons to pick up on such things sooner.
